Budget Hearing Notices

The School Board of the Denver Community School District will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY2026 property tax levy rate on March 27th at 5:30pm in the Board Room at 541 E. Eagle Street. 

This is the second year where property owners across Iowa will receive a mailing by March 20 from their County Auditor per recently added Iowa legislation.  The mailing is NOT A TAX INVOICE - ITS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The mailing is to alert taxpayers of the upcoming public hearing on the proposed property tax asking of their specific school, county, and city (unless they are a rural resident).  

If there are questions about taxes in a particular school, county or city, consult the contact information listed for that entity on the front side of the mailing. The link below is the formal notice of public hearing.
